Was that photoshoped or was the mist edited in? Cause I mean :wow: thats an amazing shot if it is a pure photo. I cannot believe you captured such an amazing thing. Excellent shot, perfect capturing of the mist. Excellent choice to put it into black and white, it really adds a lot to the photo. And I really enjoy the entire spooky mysterious and fantasy-like feel of the piece. Excellent job!

it is not a photomanip =) the "mist" is actually from the water moving during a long exposure

thanks for the interest!

Mmmm it's so pretty there! I love the contrast between the light, soft fog and the dark, rough rocks. Very nice.

This is a truly beautiful capture. I've tried this technique this evening but unfortunately the water was way too still and calm and you couldn't even see it in the picture!
Anyway I think the high contrast works particularly well on this image, nice job!

Excellent use of slow shutter speed. You really gave the water a wonderful ethereal quality. I lvoe the contrasting tones. Very well composed. Not a spot of wasted space. Well done!

hey i have a question
i see that effect often in landscape/outdoor photography
how is that soft um... ghost like water edge achieved? is it weather? i've allways wondered that.

this particular picture was a 5 shot pano with each exposure being around 30sec long (it was very dark). because of the long exposure when the waves "crashed" upon those amazing rocks it gets all nice and soft on the sensor because the water is moving so fast and with such great magnitude.... hehehe its just motion blur =)

thanks for your interest and i still dont understand how you made your own camera... wow! =)

It looks so desolate and unforgiving. Where was this shot taken? It's beautiful!
